"Don't mistake volume for impact, as Wilsen is capable of drawing blood with swift lyrical jabs that strike chords you didn't see coming" - Stereogum
Mesmerizing Brooklyn trio Wilsen today release their full length debut ‘I Go Missing In My Sleep’ (Secret City Records).  The album has been met with praise from NPR, Vice Noisey, Stereogum (who are also hosting an exclusive album stream now) and more.  A hometown CD release show is set for Tuesday May 2 at Brooklyn’s Union Pool followed by an acoustic set at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade store in the SONOS listening room May 3.  This weekend they link up with Patrick Watson in Canada for a sold-out show, and will join a UK run with Diane Birch later in May.  Wilsen’s video for “Garden” was premiered by VEVO, songs have been spun on WFUV, WXPN, KCSN and other key radio stations, and they have upcoming appearances scheduled for WNYC Soundcheck, Echoes and more.

QUOTES:
"A major revelation." - NPR Music
"Softly devastating.” - Stereogum

"It manages to be both soothing and disquieting. At points it sounds like it’s running backwards. Sometimes like a memory tantalizingly out of reach.” - Noisey
“[A] full-length rumination of quiet devastation.” – CBC
“Slow, Spartan songs with finger-picked guitar, heart-beat drums and ghostly narratives... Lovely.” – MOJO
“A twilight escape from the unrelenting rush of everyday living.” – Popmatters
“Big and bright, Wilsen’s debut battles against the hardest of nights that turn into mornings, and comes out the other side feeling truly defiant.” - DIY
“I Go Missing In My Sleep pays out higher dividends with repeated and closer listens… Wilsen has thrust their own marker in the sand with this debut and given themselves a wealth of directions in which to pivot toward for the future.” - The Line of Best Fit
Wilsen is fronted by Tamsin Wilson and joined by Drew Arndt on bass and Johnny Simon on guitar. The trio burst onto the independent music scene in 2013 with the self-released double-EP ‘Sirens,’ and 2014’s EP ‘Magnolia.’ Tours with Daughter, Matthew E White, San Fermin and shows with London Grammar soon followed. Wye Oak remixed a song for the ‘Magnolia’ remix EP along with Sun Glitters, Death Vessel and White Hinterland. Tamsin has lent her vocals to Honne's "Coastal Love" single and her vocal line is used in a SBTRKT song. In 2016, the self-released singles "Garden" and "Centipede" grew quickly on streaming sites. "Garden" is now at over 3.5 million streams while "Centipede" is over 1.1 million streams across platforms.
