QUOTES:
"A major revelation." - NPR Music
"Softly devastating.” - Stereogum

"It manages to be both soothing and disquieting. At points it sounds like it’s running backwards. Sometimes like a memory tantalizingly out of reach.” - Noisey
“[A] full-length rumination of quiet devastation.” – CBC
“Slow, Spartan songs with finger-picked guitar, heart-beat drums and ghostly narratives... Lovely.” – MOJO
“A twilight escape from the unrelenting rush of everyday living.” – Popmatters
“Big and bright, Wilsen’s debut battles against the hardest of nights that turn into mornings, and comes out the other side feeling truly defiant.” - DIY
“I Go Missing In My Sleep pays out higher dividends with repeated and closer listens… Wilsen has thrust their own marker in the sand with this debut and given themselves a wealth of directions in which to pivot toward for the future.” - The Line of Best Fit
Wilsen is fronted by Tamsin Wilson and joined by Drew Arndt on bass and Johnny Simon on guitar. The trio burst onto the independent music scene in 2013 with the self-released double-EP ‘Sirens,’ and 2014’s EP ‘Magnolia.’ Tours with Daughter, Matthew E White, San Fermin and shows with London Grammar soon followed. Wye Oak remixed a song for the ‘Magnolia’ remix EP along with Sun Glitters, Death Vessel and White Hinterland. Tamsin has lent her vocals to Honne's "Coastal Love" single and her vocal line is used in a SBTRKT song. In 2016, the self-released singles "Garden" and "Centipede" grew quickly on streaming sites. "Garden" is now at over 3.5 million streams while "Centipede" is over 1.1 million streams across platforms.

Hiding All Away – Lovely Creatures: The Best of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds DVD
“There are some people out there who just don’t know where to start with The Bad Seeds. Others know the catalogue better than I do! This release is designed to be a way into three decades of music making. That’s a lot of songs. The songs we have chosen are the ones that have stuck around, for whatever reason. Some songs are those that demand to be played live. Others are lesser songs that are personal favorites of ours. Others are just too big and have too much history to leave out. And there are those that didn’t make it, poor things. They are the ones you must discover by yourselves.” Nick Cave
Lovely Creatures is the most comprehensive overview of the recorded work of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to date. Spanning thirty years of music from their debut album From Her To Eternity through to Push The Sky Away their 15th studio album, the collection navigates one of the most exhilarating, idiosyncratic and inventive bodies of work created in contemporary music.
Included are long-standing live favorites “Stagger Lee” and “The Mercy Seat”, their hit single from 1995 “Where The Wild Roses Grow” through to recent fan favorites “Jubilee Street” and “We No Who U R”. There are songs that newcomers may only know from their appearance on film and television soundtracks, notably “O Children” (Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Pt. I)  and the ubiquitous “Red Right Hand”, most recently familiar to fans of the series Peaky Blinders.
The album was compiled by Nick Cave and founding member Mick Harvey, with help from the current Bad Seeds. Band members past and present raided their personal archives to provide previously unseen photos and memorabilia which have been collected into a beautiful hardcover book, along with a series of original essays. The book is available as part of the limited edition ‘Super Deluxe’ album collection that also comes with a two hour DVD containing rare and unseen archive footage. Lovely Creatures is available in four formats, all featuring personal and rare photographs of the band:  Standard CD, Triple LP, Deluxe 3CD with DVD and the Super Deluxe Limited Edition package.
Lovely Creatures was originally intended for release in 2015. Since its postponement the band have recorded and released their highly acclaimed 16th studio album Skeleton Tree.

Welles Debut EP 'Codeine' Out Today

WELLES RELEASE DEBUT EP
CODEINE VIA C3 RECORDS
The highly anticipated, debut EP from C3 Records' first signee, Welles, is out today. The band is fronted by Jehsea Wells, a prolific songwriter, virtuoso guitarist and monstrous vocalist who recently relocated from Ozark, Akansas to Nashville. Early enthusiasts are comparing the 23-year-old's distinguished growl and striking lyricism to rock legends, while he readily self-describes the sound as "burnt toast."

Welles earned early repute with a resonating set of showcases at SXSW this year. The band will go on to play a selection of tour dates this summer, including Governors Ball and Bonnaroo. Shows are listed below. More to be announced.

"This gritty, mournful rock song targeted my heart's sore spots and then dug underneath them ... his voice is an expert, virtuosic bleat and the guitars cut like dull knives, bludgeoning guilt and shame into a tortured rock anthem" - Uproxx

"It's just got so much passion behind it." - Indie Shuffle

"The song moseys along on warped, psychedelic guitars that twang like sitars. Wells’ vocals echo against themselves above the hum, threading through energetic percussion as if he’s trying to tie his memories down to the rhythm." - Consequence of Sound

"a 'new' band who immediately sound like rock legends... a memorable rocker that soars with the energy and haziness of ’70s neo-psychedelia." - The Revue

Tour Dates:
June 2 | New York, NY at Knitting Factory
June 3 | New York, NY at Governors Ball
June 8 | Manchester, TN at Bonnaroo
June 21 | Davenport, IA at The Raccoon
June 22 | Yorkville, IL at The Law Office Pub and Music Hall
July 07 | Indianapolis, IN at HiFi

Nicole Atkins announces new album, and shares new song

NICOLE ATKINS ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM, GOODNIGHT RHONDA LEE

DON'T MISS MISS NICOLE ON TOUR THROUGHOUT THE
SPRING AND SUMMER

ALBUM OUT ON SINGLE LOCK RECORDS JULY 21ST

TITLE TRACK AVAILABLE NOW FOR INSTANT DOWNLOAD WITH PRE-ORDER

(Nashville, TN) Single Lock recording artist Nicole Atkins is set to release her new album, Goodnight Rhonda Lee, on July 21st.  Produced by Niles City Sound (Leon Bridges), with additional mixing by Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes) in Fort Worth, TX, the album feels like an instant classic brimming with timeless songs that were written during a time of deep self-examination for the New Jersey native, now Nashville resident. Fans can receive the first song from the collection, the album's title track, as an instant download when they pre-order the album. The title track is available on Amazon, iTunes, Soundcloud, Spotify, and Youtube.

Nicole experienced an life-changing journey on the way to making this album, which she recently shared with Rhett Miller of the Old 97s. In Rhetts's words: To borrow a phrase from heaven's new poet laureate, Leonard Cohen, Nicole Atkins was "born with the gift of a golden voice." But somewhere along the way she misplaced it. Goodnight Rhonda Lee is the story of Atkins finding her voice, and how, in doing so, she went a little crazy.
"This record came to me at a time of deep transition," says Atkins. "Some days were good, some not so good. What I did gain, though, from starting to make some changes and going inward, and putting it out on the table, was a joy in what I do again. Joy in the process and a newfound confidence that I don't think I've ever had until now. The album title, Goodnight Rhonda Lee, also came from those feelings. Rhonda Lee was kind of my alias for bad behavior, and it was time to put that persona to bed."

In the midst of much personal turmoil - getting sober, her father's cancer -- Atkins moved from her native Asbury Park to Nashville. Having spent more than a decade as the de facto queen of Asbury, she was finally leaving the warm, but often stifling confines of her hometown. In Nashville, Atkins' once hectic life was very different. Left home alone as her tour manager husband plied his trade out on the road, Nicole found herself writing songs that examined "feelings of separation and being scared of new surroundings."

Unsurprisingly, her sobriety faltered. She drifted in and out of it. Atkins knew the wagon was good for her, but she had a hard time staying focused on what was good for her. As it went on however, the clarity of those sober days started to shine through. And she was able to string them together in longer stretches. For the first time, she was able to offer a shoulder for others to lean on, rather than always being the one in need of a shoulder. It helped that she had to be strong for herself in order to be strong for her dad.
She reconnected with her old friend Chris Isaak who encouraged her, in the midst of all the soul-searching and soul-baring, to write songs that emphasized the one trait that most sets her apart from the mere mortals of the industry, telling her, "Atkins, you have a very special thing in your voice that a lot of people can't or don't do. You need to stop shying away from that thing and let people hear it." To that end, the two of them collaborated on Goodnight Rhonda Lee's standout track, the instant classic, "A Little Crazy," that Atkins shared late in 2016.

The direction in which these songs were headed was obvious. Nicole's voice had always recalled a classic vinyl collection. She is the heir to the legacy of "Roy Orbison, Lee Hazelwood, Sinatra, Aretha, Carole King, Candi Staton." She is untethered to decade or movement or the whim of the hipster elite.

In order to capture the timelessness she sought, Nicole enlisted a modern day Wrecking Crew: Niles City Sound in Fort Worth, TX, who had just risen to national acclaim as Leon Bridges' secret weapon. "We spoke the same language. We wanted to make something classic, something that had an atmosphere and a mood of romance and triumph and strength and soul." The album was recorded in five days, live to tape. The album that Nicole and the boys came up with in those five days, Goodnight Rhonda Lee, is nothing less than great art and a quantum leap forward for Nicole Atkins who, no matter how much she grows up, will always be a little crazy.
Atkins will be touring for all of 2017. For more information, please visit: http://www.nicoleatkins.com/
